Our Dog Friendly Shepherds Hut with Hot Tub is set outside Llyswen. Llyswen is a tranquil, small village surrounded by beautiful countryside, set in the heart of Mid Wales in between Hay on Wye, Brecon and Builth Wells, on the edge of the Brecon Beacons / Bannau Brycheiniog. It is the perfect place to unwind, with plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling or fishing (if you can manage to leave the Hot Tub behind). The Wye Valley Walk runs through Boughrood on the other side of the river. There are a number of historic buildings including 12th century St Gwendolines Church.

There are lots of footpaths in the area if you want to explore our valley and beyond such as up to Brechfa Pool and Common. We are happy to show you where they are if you are interested.

Llyswen has 2 pubs, The Griffin Inn and The Bridgend. The Griffin does excellent evening food, whilst for light bites or a lunchtime meal, you are spoilt for choice with the option of both The Griffin Inn and the Wye Knot Stop café, a local cafe on the opposite site of the road to the griffin. We also have a 24 hour garage and a traditional local village shop, a 10 minute walk away the other side of the river in Boughrood.

We are only a 5 minute drive from both Bronllys Castle with the most amazing far reaching views of the area and Black Mountain Activities in Three Cocks. We are only quarter of an hour from Hay on Wye, Hay Festival, Builth Wells, Royal Welsh Show, Brecon, Brecon Beacons and Llangors Lake.
